Seven Days By The Sea: Part II

Beach: glistening sand
Stretching far out
To greet a receding sea.
The sun claws desperately
At stubborn clouds,
Trying to find a way through
And succeeding intermittently.
Find me, up on the headland,
Hair whipped up with the wind,
The bristling grass
Beneath my feet.
The occasional warmth
Of the sun,
Finding a gap in the cloud;
Like a human embrace
Between gusts of chilly
Coastal air.
