Seven Days By The Sea: Part I

Winding St Ives streets.
The first glimpse of blue
Over slate rooftops.
Whitewashed pebble dash,
Windswept palm trees.
Warm, balmy air.
Blurred line between sky
And sea.
Sand and water,
Gold fading impossibly
Into aquamarine;
The colour of glass.
Light sinks into night,
Heavy mist descends,
The horizon invisible now.
The sound of a harp echos
Around the harbour;
A semi-circle of sound,
Stone, sand and sea.
