I Remember You Singing

When I think of you
I remember you singing.
I hear your voice through closed doors.
A song quietly hummed as you cook.
I hear you in the shower,
Some of your best work.
I hear you next to me
Forgetting someone’s listening
And really letting go.
The way the sound changed when you smiled.
How complete it made you
And how laid yourself bare to me
With your voice.
I saw you in the music you made.
A memory of you in sound.
