George Arthur

Tiny, tiny baby.
First son.
First nephew.
First grandchild.
First born.

You are so tiny.
Your skin is so soft.
You are so warm.
You are quiet, gentle.
So tiny.

You are too young to know
How much you are loved.
The hope you bring.
The warmth.
The happiness.

How tiny you are
In your father’s arms.
How soundly you sleep
On your mother’s chest.
Contented, peaceful.

Welcome to the world, tiny baby.
It’s a big world,
A bright world.
But don’t be scared, little one,
Don’t cry.
We will keep you safe.
